Booked the cheap Jetstink flights from Brisbane to Sydney to Bali in July for March 2007. Our departure time Brisbane is 3.15pm arriving Sydney 4.50pm for International departing 5.05pm. Hello was someone having a total brainfade when there schedules were put into place. Lucky our itinerary is changed and now departing Brisbane at 2.15pm will arrive Sydney 3.50pm. Luggage will be booked straight through. I call Jetstink Sunday morning to comfirm all is on track and told yes everything is the same. Well we arrive at the airport 1pm, go to checkin and we are told we are not with Jetstink go to Qantas, this we do and guess what we are booked back on the 3.15 flight to Sydney.I tell them that I have a new itinerary but I am still told we are on the 3.15 flight for Sydney and its now to late to go back to Jetstink. We take this flight to arrive in Sydney at 4.50pm.When we land in Sydney we are phoned by our friend (who had come from Harvey Bay on an earlier flight) that hands me over to a checkin lady demanding we move ourselves real fast, someone will meet us at the end of the gangway.Escorted us to the transfer bus, race us over to International,we get there and are greeted by someone else telling us to move it.(we have been)Off upstairs to checkin and escorted to boarding. Then the bloody plane was delayed for half an hour. Had our friend not of been there waiting for us, and kicked up a stink we would not have made the Internationl flight. What happens when you miss a flight? you claim insurance, and the claim is made for the new purchase price of the ticket. I wonder who thought of this scam and how many others this has happened to. Not only did this happen on the way there, but we had the same coming back. Flight arrives Sydney 7.05am to connect 9.05 Sydney to Brisbane. This again cant be done as you have customs and immigration to go through.Plus you have to get from International to Domestic. We had priority through customs and immigration, as my husband was in a wheel chair. Which is another story on its own.
