If you fly Qantas domestic Bris-syd they will direct your bags right through to Garuda in Sydney, as they are linked for this. Also Garuda will now charge Bris passengers only $599 to Bali. Check with John at Garuda in Brisbane. If you take the 10am Garuda flight you will have to take the 5.55am flight from Bris to connect ( I'm doing this in 2 weeks and Garuda guarantees this is fine) or, you could fly down before.
