We survived the check in this morning with the new liquid regulations. We went a little early. Check in was slower but they had customs officers in the line explaining the rules to everyone and handing out plastic bags. Our student has 3x125ml hand cream which she had purchaed duty free. We had to put them in her checkin luggage and she just took the docket to show to customs. Certainly a bit slower than usual but no great hassles. The call through to customs/immigration was a lot earlier, they starting calling about 2 hours before flight due to leave because of the new security regulations. Adelaide airport was asking only people travelling to be in the checkin line although I stayed with our student as her house mother and they didnt say anything. She had forgotten that she had lipstick and lipgloss and at the customs line had to put them in a plastic bag but no hassle and everyone laughed. :)
