Nusa Dua is not a place renowned for anything cheap but within walking distance is Bualu village and the Benoa peninsula is only a short (and cheap) cab ride away. In both places you will find all of the things the average tourist might want except for a view of the Bali country-side and traditional rural life, for which you will need to hire a car and driver for the day at about Rupia 350,000 for an 8 hour day.
