Hi jen8jac,

Boy you're bringing back some memories now. Stayed there many times with many different groups of people over the years. Jill & Denise are right Logi was demolished at the end of 2000/early 2001.Phil who owns Climax Swimwear used to stay there long term. So did his pet monkey, Panther. We used to take Panther out with us to the clubs of a night, now that was different! What about the Loji II minimarket and the afternoon beers watching the world go by. Manhattan (now its Peanuts) across the road had a pool in the back with a crocodile in it, the evening feed of a live chicken was an experience. Playing poker with the staff after close, "raise ya 10,000!" The Bounty had a great deal on 4 litre jugs of margarita, Rp 5,000 from memory.

Jack Delissa was the Australian owner of Loji Gardens & in the end he refused to spend any money on the place so I don't know whether he didn't resign the lease or Made Jarna didn't want him as a "partner" anymore.

Gee, there's another memory from the early days at Loji, no such thing as Bintang. San Miguel was the local beer.

Ah yeah, the olden days.

Mitch
