We have done this sort of thing before and I would not do it this way because everytime you enter Bali $25 USD per person Visa On Arrival and everytime you leave 100,000 IRP departure tax. Also getting up and down between Bali and Phuket may be an overnight stay somewhere is Singapore, Kl or Bangkok.

I would recommend

1) Perth to Phuket - Jetstar (direct) or Tigerair (through Singapore)

2) Phuket to Bali via KL using Air Asia (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur - AK873 13:30 - 15:45 then KL to Bali AK 904 16:40 - 19:40 ie 1 hour between flights in KL). We have only flown domestic within Malaysia with Air Asia so I am not sure whether you could do this connection with international flights. Email Air Asia and ask. Be careful as the domestic Air Asia flights leave from the Low Cost Terminal which is on the other side of the airport to international ie Malaysian Airways flights. If this does not work you can do Jetstar Asia or Tiger Airways from Phuket to Singapore and Singapore Airlines from Singapore to Bali. From memory Singapore do about 10 flights to Bali a day.

3) Bali to Perth - Jetstar

This is a much easier way to travel than what you are suggesting unless you like to fly and go in and out of customs and immigration.

Have fun

Lucien
