Arrived back this morning after 11 days. Flew Garuda - were on time and good flights. We were first in line at VOA as no other planes were in at the time. Stayed at Beach Melati Apts, wonderful as usual.
It was very hot and humid and had heavy rain a few days and nights but wasn't a problem. Enjoyed being there for Nyepi, was wonderful to see the Ogah Ogahs being paraded and Nyepi day was relaxing. Staff put on a seafood barbeque and all the guests had a party.
Caught up with David and Moira at Pacung, Shirley and Barry Walsh, Shauna, DiDi, Tina, Sharon and Belinda.
Roadworks are ongoing. Sahadewa was open again when we arrived but was closed again at Melasti end on Saturday. The machinery they are using is huge but traffic is getting around it somehow.
Bali seemed busier than when I was there in October. Met some Estonians and Uraguayans (?) staying at the apartments which was unusual in a predominantly Aussie/NZer area.
Almost got charged excess baggage on the way home but the check-in guy very kindly let us off. US$18 per kg. Plane was probably 3/4 full. Roll on June
