they had a ceremony on kuta beach (in front of hard rock where the life guards are), they let baby turtles go into the ocean which was a pretty sight except a few dont think made it cause of "trigger happy camera weilding japanese tourists"....they released doves, had a circle of friends on surfboards out on the ocean, lots of children in costume, flowers scattered by the 1000's, they closed the streets off, it was a nice feeling, although very sad, not sure if there was anything happening at the Memorial, only heard of the beach event, I think it touched everyone there. enjoy your trip, max.
