et all for 30 years and would gone whatsits up last year without another cash injection from the government. They are a shadow of the former large airline they were and have cut services all over the world - especially to Europe.

This is true of all Indonesian government owned companies ( the stealing ) but it does seem that Garuda is at least semi-serious about cleaning up it's act.

It would be nice to think that the current reorganisation will see a stronger airline with newer planes and less shrinkage - you used to be able to buy " especially bottled for Garuda" wine in Kuta no problem.

I have a little plaque for being on the inorgoral flight from Denpasar to Auckland and as Air NZ suspended their service years ago a resumption will probably be the only way Kiwi's will get a "direct" service to Bali.
