We have been 7 times for periods of 2 weeks and love it. no nightlife but good places to eat and chat to people. Plenty of places to stay from 50,000rp to 70,000rp per room. Catch the Perama from Sanur at 70,000rp each way. There is virtually no traffic on the island and even though you have to be careful it is quite safe to hire a bike and travel around the island with no helmet, no one on the island wears a helmet.
Great surf, snorkelling and walking, but otherwise just sit back and watch the locals farming seaweed and read lots of books.
