Its good to see that mob, (Citibank/Citicorp), haven't changed much in twenty years. When we first went to the US in 1982 we had Citibank travellers cheques. On about the third day my wife lost her handbag with $1000 worth of cheques in it. We were having so much trouble cashing them anyway, with passports, military ID cards etc. as proof of ownership. We had to sight every cheque that was cashed and sign a stat dec to say it wasn't cashed by us. some were even signed as the theif would normally sign and then scratched out and forged with my wifes signature. It took three deposits to get all our money back from them, which took nearly 6 months. If we had been on holiday, it would have been curtailed by lack of finances and we would have been well and truly home before we saw any of the money. Karl Maldon said in the ad that Amex garaunteed your money back in 24hrs, and its true. I've never used Citibank,(or travellers cheques), for anything again, and never will.
