as I have noticed many the weary traveller (including myself)who is homeward bound at the airport-
gets ripped off just buying snacks, gifts etc.
When i explained to the staff- they had just overcharged the previous customer and they were doing the same when they totalled my purchases- i just got the typical "huh .." don't understand' look.!!
So I asked to speak to the manager, who was just as ardament, there Was No Error- ....I produced my calculator- but they kept insisting I was wrong....the darn prices were all marked on the goods.
So frustating - It took about 20 minutes to get them to realise i was only going to paying the total of the marked goods!!!!
I tried to reason with them, that they had good airport jobs and should not do this to tourists, who have just had an enjoyable holiday, and cant wait to come back and tell friends etc....
In my country- this is "theft" !!! "illegal" !!!
Still fell on deaf ears- !!!!
Has anyone else noticed how 'rife this has become at the airport??
especially the snack/ variety store on the left before you enter departure lounge for Oz.
Now before anyone starts trying to justify this, let me add that i have experienced overcharging at the Airport 3 TIMES since August!!
It is just WRONG-
"Swings and roundabouts" for those who think BYO spirits etc is stingy-
There is nothing WRONG with a traveller making their hard earned money go a little further---
because the way the Airport vendors are conducting themselves of late, you'll probably need it when you hear the "Boarding call" and cant be bothered arguing when you are being blatantly overcharged....
