Chocolate, the word of this song still remains in my head, even if it was last heard in 1975.
The song Chocolate contained only the one word "chocolate" repeated again and again from a very worn cassette tape. It was played non stop on a 24 hour trip in a Chevrolet truck converted into a bus with planks with seven people seated on each plank shoulder to shoulder across the width of the bus. The bus had no windows, but instead had canvas screens across holes in the side of the bus. Luggage and freight was carried on the roof with a bus employee also sitting on the roof.
After visiting Bali, I was trying to reach Medan within the seven days left on my visa, by travelling by ship, train and bus.
This particular bus was a local bus stopping at every village between Bukitinggi and Prapat in Sumatra.
