Niksoma is only a short walk along the beachfront from the Padma has 50 rooms and we have stayed there as well as the Padma. We met loads of people around the pool and at breakfast at the Niksoma and hardly spoke to anyone at the Padma. Both lovely hotels and the Niksoma is beautiful although modern, staff are friendlier and know you by name from the moment they meet you etc etc. And I think the Niksoma is slightly cheaper than the Padma.
