We left it upto our travel agent and we stayed at Copthorne Orchid Motel - the place is huge, didnt really check it out fully as we were out and about.
Breakfast was very average and wasnt included in our costings (A$26 and not worth it).
We were about 5mins from Orchard Road.
Free shuttle bus on the hour offered.
Singapore (what we saw of it) reminded us of Sydney, very westernised and busy.
We grabbed a tourist map from airport and picked out what we could cover in a day, then attacked.
Loved Little India, Bugis Street, Chinatown.
Everyone raves about night zoo (but not our cup of tea so didnt bother).
We basically did what we could in a day, and although loved the experience, i dont think we would bother with stopping over again, Perhaps if we had longer and seen more???
Next trip in July we are looking at Malaysian Airlines with a K.L stopover - gotta love these cheap fares.
Oh, if you get time check out Gluttons Bay - permanent street hawkers selling food (singapore's #1 food vendors) - great food, cheap prices!!!
