We usually stay up near Gazebo and Respati hotels.
If you are staying up that way there is a reliable money changer on the main street just across from Respati.Have never had any problems with them and have been staying in Sanur since 98.
Theres a Hardy's supermarket about a 5 min. Bemo ride from Gazebo, they sell just about everything with handicrafts and clothes upstairs.
Also plenty of good restaurants to choose from, Bonsia, Kami something or other (forgotten the name) someone else will know, Beach Cafe. These are all beachfront eateries. Too numerous to mention all the other great places to eat.
Good shopping at Sindhu Beach markets, just up from Bonsai. Also a few little boutiques on main street.
Beach is really nice, safe for little ones as it has a reef to protect from big waves etc.
We love Sanur prefer it over Kuta and Legian.
Have a great trip.
