We have found that in addition to the fluctuations in the exchange rates, we can not forget the enormous 80 percent increase in fuel prices in October 2004. Before the second bombing fuel was 2500rp per litre, then the massive increase to 4500rp a litre.

This has impacted the on delivery/transport/wages costs. Flowing though to almost every consumable item purchased in Bali. It doesn't matter if you are a transport driver,or own/manage a hotel, restaurant, shop, business of any kind or a foundation. Everyone is feeling the affects of this fuel rise.
