Seems we are on the same wave length. We have also stayed at the Bali Garden but their pool area is looking very tired and with no real restaurant on the beach we are also looking for an alternative hotel. We were their in Jan and the vibe on the beach around the Inna Kuta is great. Their restaurant on the beach is nice but must admit their menu selection for lunch was a bit limited but compared to the Bali Garden it was great!
