Australia is on a list of 52 countries whose residents are able to buy a tourist visa on arrival,US$25.00.This list is on the website of the Indonesian embassy in your country of origin....Pre-paid sim cards are available everywhere in Kuta etc and are much cheaper to call home than using your home network or hotel phone.Also if you do use your home network it costs a fortune even if you answer a call from home.
