The section of restaurants just before the 4 Seasons has been renovated with a new parking area with paving stones. We go to the Taman Sari every other month when I am in from my Vietnam job. Lobster is 200,000 a kilo. I think the udang (shrimp) is about 70,000 a kilo. I have been going there for about 5 years so maybe we get a good price.
I went there not so long ago to get some lobster for take-away. I had brought my oldest daughter, 11 years old, with me. When I got there I didn't have enough money on me. My daughter wanted to stay there while I went back to get some more money. My wife asked why I was back so soon and I told her that I needed more money. And then she asked where was Tami? I told her I had to leave her at the restaurant as a deposit. I got a very funny look for that.
This part of the beach has been busy the last 3 or 4 times I have been back there. I would say the best time to get there is about 6 pm to get a place to park and a good place to see the sunset.
