not apologise for shouting. I just do not understand why the thoughtful posters on this forum do not think more about this!
It encourages unsustainable shell collecting throughout Asia and many species are becoming highly endangered. Scientists are getting very worried about cone shells, for instance, fearing they will become extinct before researchers find out all the fantastic drugs and antibiotics and painkillers etc that they hope to distill from them. I've posted on this before, with links to the scientific articles but it doesn't seem to ever strike a chord with the enthusiastic shoppers on the Bali forums.
