We stayed there several years ago and it seems that it is still the same. I would not worry about security as the only way in is through the main gate an their SAPAM is the only one I have seen with a side arm. The rooms are nice, but the hotel very quiet. The pool was small and the bar overlooked it. When we were there the restaurant was great with some good entertainment, but it dropped off for some unknown reason and we used to go there when we stopped at PR, but do not any more. It could have changed as in Bali these things vary greatly, good one year, poor the next. The price used to be about the same as Puri Raja, but that is probably open to negotiation.
