If you're looking for restaurants with high-class food and ambiance and don't mind a bit of a splurge (some up there with Mozaic prices) then the following may be good options.
Lamak - Fantastic cocktail and wine selection. The food is inventive and beautifully presented. I find the entree dishes here the best (entree as in the first course, not the main course as American's say). I usually go for a couple of drinks and an entree and then move on somewhere for a main and on to another place for dessert if I'm trying to fit a few great places in!
Terazo - The food is consistently good here. A lovely menu with a few interesting wine options. If you dine at Batan Waru or Cinta (go to Cinta for Sundowner 2 for 1 Mojito's!!), which are owned by the same peopl, you will often be given a voucher which can be used at all their restaurants for a week. This gives you 15% off.
I'd skip Ary's Warung as the menu hasn't changed in years and the food, though beautifully presented, is bland and flabby in the mouth.
The restaurant at Alila Ubud is out of this world. The Australian chef is amazing and the view is gorgeous and romantic at sunset. Pricey by Indonesian standards of course, but still one of the most amazing meals you will ever.
Ibah's restaurant is a lovely smart place for lunches. The food isn't ground breaking, but it is consistently good and the location is tranquil. The staff are delightful and you might get to have a tour of the villas.
Kemiri at Uma Ubud is spectacular. I've been there recently for lunch and was blown away at how amazingly fresh, flavorsome and creative the dishes were. There's two menus including one that has a spa focus - organic, macrobiotic etc. We had a few dishes from this menu and some from the regular and it was great. The staff are attentive, the view of the huge pond filled with gigantic fish is lovely and it's nice to see how the other half live (we saw so many bottles of Bollinger coming out from the bar and up the steps for room service!!) Again, very expensive by Indonesian standards but you wouldn't get that kind of food in Australia at such a reasonable price.
