We arrived at Gede's house and he came running out to greet us with, "Hello, hello". His father came out too. They took us inside and we met the rest of the family. We had taken two soccer balls (which we got pumped up on the way up to Singaraja) which was good, as Gede had 3 older brothers. When we sponsored him it just said that he was the youngest of 4, so I had taken hair stuff up for girls and nail files and nail clippers etc. So when we arrived and they were all boys I was glad of the soccer balls. I also had an enormous map of Australia and books on Australia, which also had pictures of Perth (where we come from) in it. We took him a backpack full of pens, pencils and textas and plenty of paper to write on. We also popped in a photo in a frame of our kids for Gede to keep. Oh, and we took him a pair of sunglasses. Silver and very cool - which he loved, and he wore them from the minute he pulled them out, and was still wearing them when we drove away. His house was quite different to Komang's, as he lived a little bit closer to town. Obviously nothing like what all of us live in, but it was more like a house, not a small hut type building. It's a bit hard to explain. Anyway, we gave them their rice, which they were very grateful for, and said goodbye. We took many photo's, which they loved to see in the camera. Next time we go, we will take them to them.

On the trip home, we stopped at Candi Kuning Markets, and visited Crackers Bar and Grill there. We were absolutely starving, as by this time it was 3pm, and we hadn't had anything since breakfast. I would recommend anyone visiting their sponsor child, and taking their own children, to take snacks in the car, as the day got away from us. We had some snacks but they were gone by about 11. Lucky grandma had a packet of biscuits with her which got the kids through until we found somewhere to eat. We went into Crackers Bar and Grill and asked the lady if we could get something to eat, but she said no food at the moment as it is so quiet. I wanted to check out the loo's that everyone talks about, so I paid 5000Rp to have a look. Didn't even need to go to the toilet but I couldn't go all that way and not see what all the fuss was about. What lovely loo's they are. Took heaps of photo's. Obviously there was no-one in there at the time, just silly me taking photo's of a toilet block. Love the basins - I want one at home !!! So, due to the no food, we thought we'd head back down to Pacung Indah. Had a lovely lunch there, then we headed off again back to the hotel. All in all it was a fantastic day. Saw lots of things I had never seen or experienced before, and met some wonderful people that will stay with me forever. Hope I haven't put you all to sleep.
