We got up at 5 o'clock on the morning of January 14th for our trip to bali. In the car and at the airport about 7.10am. We all had a coffee, Mum & Dad did some duty free shopping then we waited for our 9 o'clock flight.
We flew Garuda, I was a bit scared at first, I was sitting next to Dad but then I moved next to Mum. I could not see out the window much because the wing was in the way. The breakfast was yuk i thought but Mum & Dad ate it and said it was OK. After breakfast they played Open Season on the little monitors so that was good, but hard to see as we were in row 16 right under the screen,
Arrived safely at our hotel the Bali Rani at 12.30. We were very quick through customs and visa part.
Dad took us for a swim while Mum unpacked that was fun.
Went to Rickys DVD shop in Legian and he gave us a DVD player to hire for the 13 days of our holidays.
We went to Kafe Batan Waru, which is right next door to the bali gardens hotel, the food was really yummy, especially the calamari and spring rolls.
Went back to the hotel to watch a DVD, then went to sleep.....
DAY 2
Went to breakfast at the hotel, I had prawn crackers, noodles & orange juice. Mum & Dad had omelettes my big brother he is 11 had corn flakes & my little sister shes 6 didn't have much at all.
Mum & I went and did about 1 and a half hours shopping just down the road at Diannes. I got some singlets Roxy & billabong shorts and some jewellery oh and a purse.
We then caught up with the rest of the family and went to the crown in Legian street. Stayed there for a while coz mum talks way to much sometimes. Mum organised Gede from the Crown resturant to take us to the elephant park etc..
We then walked all the way down legian street to DD's to meet another of Dads friends, we stayed there too long again as Dad & Mum had 3 bintangs each.
At last back to the Rani for a swim, it was such a relief to get in the pool I was so hot. Mum went and had a massage with the staff and I think it cost her about 70000 rupiah she said it was beautiful and has booked in for another one.
Off to the green Gardens for tea. This place is still one of my favourite places to eat. Spring rolls again!!! I want to go back there again.
Back to the Rani for DVD tonight it was ant bully then off to sleep.
DAY 3
Quick breakfast at the hotel as we were heading up to the Elephant Park today, Taro.
A friend from the Crown picked us up. His name was Gede, as in G'day). The trip there was boring as. I fought with my brother and sister all the way there. Mum & dad growled a bit, but got over it.
When we got to the elephant park it was awesome. Haven't had so much fun in ages. The 2 hour trip was well worth it.
I went on the elephant named Samong with Dad and my little sister. Mum went on Tia with my brother. We had so much fun watching them do tricks then walking us through the jungle, I really want to go back.
On the way home we stopped in Ubud and brought a bedspread for my bed for 140000 rupiah, its really pretty and I got to pick it out.
Then we stopped off and looked at all the water features, Mum wanted heaps of them but we just would not be able to get then home.
Finally back to the Rani, we had a big swim, mum had another massage
the we sat and chatted to the pool staff and had milkshakes.
Tonight we wnt to Daddys Cafe for tea. We all once again enjoyed our meal and drinks. It was a good place for us kids because we kept going down stairs and buying playstation games, that was good.
Back to Rani for another DVD & bed.
Really enjoying my holiday so far.
