If you find yourselves Monkey Forest Road, go for Cafe Wayan and Green House.

This is part of what I posted in a somewhat jet lagged state in june 2006:

Ubud Restaurants

Dian
Good budget restaurant
Nice garlic prawns, The smoked duck for only 112 000 for 2 pax is a delicious bargain.

Lotus Lane
Actually I had only pizza there, but it was really good.

Cafe Wayan
Still a fantastic environment in the garden. The salads are somewhat boring, but the main courses are good.

Green House
Nice, sophisticated newcomer.

Barberkue (forgotten spelling)
Go for the Tuna Kebabs. Nice place.

The small place opposite the meditation centre in jl monkey forest
Great for cheap juices. Mango and avocado juice for 6000.

Batan Waru
Disappointing. Small overpriced dishes, not enough taste or sophistication to defend the prices. Our juice order was sent to another table while we were observing, and the other table didn't recognize the mistake before they had tasted the drinks. After the return to the kitchen, we got our drinks so fast that I suspect they just changed straw and gave us the same juices.

Casa Luna/Indus
Best lassies in town. Great food.

Bali Buddha
Great ambience. Good food.

Ryoshi(Ubud)
Good sushi, we keet returning to this place.
