On my return in June my "space" was taken up with cabin crews luggage, so was expected to put my bag down the end of the plane wherever they could find space. No way, I made then fit my bag in and put my duty free at my feet. The other people on the row and in the one in front who came on later had to put theirs further down the plane. I queried this with Garuda but they basically said "too bad", the crew needs the space for their luggage.
