We stayed at contiki in seminyak and found they had great nightly entertainment & games by the activities staff, bands or nightclub which was good until about 11pm and then we went into kuta to Bounty or MBarGo. It seems that nightlife in bali does not start until about midnight so worked out well. Every night we also went out with a contiki crew and had a ball. Special experience note. Whilst the massive cocktails at the bounty are cheap, i think the alcohol is a bit dodgy and takes a extra day to recover (1 extra day holiday lost is not good and if you cost it out, just not worth wasting a day to save $10 on drinks ina night) so we stuck to internation spirits and good old bintang
