All these rules, started in Jakarta at the end of last year..maybe bali is a little behind... such as the lights must now always be turned on when on the road...
Using the left lane, is more recent for the motorbikes, however it was only been enforced for the first two weeks, and now everyone has forgotten about it...
The rearview mirrors, my boyfriend just bought a new motorbike two weeks ago, and the first change he made was the rearview mirrors, to smaller ones.. .I asked him why.. he said...because they are too big, and came out too far, so it would have more of a chance of swiping a car that's beside me...
Unfortunatly, they usually enforce any new rules for the first few weeks, then after all the hype and complaints have died down, everyone forgets about it... and things all get back to "normal"
