When we were in our late 30's. The Bounty was great for us and especially if you can get a room in the back section the noise doesn't seem to go way into the night as the back pool use to close around 8pm.
When we stayed at the Barong we stayed in the back section where the pool was 24 hour and had no problem at all (prefered this). We did have a bottom storey room just along the pool and loved it. We are pretty good sleepers but did find on a few occasions when some people did come home around 4am they did seem to make a bit of noise around the pool but we just drifted off again.
The way I see it, is if you like to party yourself on the odd occasions it want really bother you.
I like both of them the only difference was there was alot more in the 18-35 age group at the Bounty than the Barong but I have heard alot of middle aged people and + have been going to the Bounty, seems to also be attracting a mixed age crowd.
I am sure wherever you choose you'll be very happy
