NO WAY will the airline let on plane because they have to take illegal entry back home at their expense. Passport will be checked at check-in and he will not fly - even if by any chance missed at check-in will definitely be picked up at arival because have to fill in expiry date in 2 places in arrival card and entered in immigration computer.
