you will get those on here that say never to take clothes as that is not correct protocol but I have always found them to be appreciative and wearing them.
You also get those on here saying not to give lollies.....but i don't know a kid who doesn't like a lolly.
I think if you tell them that the curtains are to block sun out and keep room cool and thats what we do in Australia...then they will understand your gift and I would especially tell them you made them with love.
Communication and not expectation gets you everywhere :)
