As for being sucked in, try not to think like that. Get yourself into a mindset that you are going to get your monies worth. Make sure you are with a really good exchange company and use it to the full advantage, make sure you sign up for newsletters and the such. Find out about bonus weeks, free use weeks and adding on extra weeks. Make the timeshare work for you. OK you may have paid an arm and a leg for it overseas compared to here in Australia but you will soon recoup if you use it wisely, go on a few timeshare forums, google for lists, see what other people are doing and make the most of it.
