Fragrent Rice by Janet DeNeefe ( an australian turned Bali Girl) living and working in Ubud ( she runs Casa Luna etc) is not just a cookbook but a fantastic insight into Bali, it desribes the religion and the various ceremonies of life undertaken in Bali. A great read and available in good bookshops in Perth
