Agree totally with you about Black Canyon, had some of my best meals ever at this cafe. Haven't noticed Johnny Andrean before, sounds like great value, will have to give it a try.
A question re Warung Sobat - did you have difficulty getting a taxi back from that area late at night or did they call one for you?
Loved the bit about your Dad washing off the white cross - go Clif. Do you know what was in your bag that they decided it needed a white cross?
You made no mention of the naked volleyball game though, didn't it go ahead as arranged - hehe.
