But some people just want to stifle any development .I don't know how many times I have seen people move to a new area and then suddenly want to stop any future developments . Nothing wrong with developments that are three or five stories ,but some people consider one storey as high rise .
As for the Esplanade in Bali it should be a hive of activity and a centre point for that area and it will only happen if it is developed.
I recently saw some photos on this forum of Bali in the eighties ,I think it was the PUB at the end of Legian street and the area where the Jayakarta now stands (it was bush) and I think Rum Jungle Rd was a dirt track, that was only 20 odd years ago and those developments have turned out alright. It is called progress !and providing it is done right there is nothing wrong with it
