The Ramayana Group which owns the property have closed Padma Club for long-awaited renovations.
I had a meeting with Vice-Chairman of Ramayana & Co last week and at this stage they are undecided on what style of restaurant it will be.
They will more than likely make it a 4-Star Restaurant similar to the new one (can't remember name) at Ramayana, Rosso Vivo at Kuta Seaview Cottages and Garpu at Rama Candi Dasa.
Gibson is not working right now - actually spoke with him this morning and is not sure if he will return when the restaurant eventually re-opens which is not anticipated for at least 6 Months.
I recommened to them that, seeing Gibson had put so much effort in establishing a reputation for freshest seafood, they may consider following the lines of perhaps a Seafood and Steak operation but it's all "in the lap of the gods" right now.
