Hope you are right. WE have decided to go to Thialand in june instead of Bali and one of the main reasons was no direct flight out of Brisbane.I think a lot of people from SE queensland will also be looking at other destinations for this reason as well.We are flying to bali on the 4th of Feb and are going via KL then on to bali then stopping in KL for 4 days on the return. It worked out $50 cheaper than Bali via sydney or melbourne and about the same travel time.
Untill Garuda stopped flying direct we did not give other locations a second thought.
