There is plenty to do in Ubud. Make sure you see a Kecak and fire dance. There are dances in Ubud pretty well every night. Also a shadow puppet show. During the day you can go rafting, walk through the rice paddies or along the ridge, visit the monkey forest, shop (of course) or visit some of the nearby craft villages. Don't forget to visit Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave Temple,and of course there are so many galleries and museums. Another must do in Ubud is a visit to Zen Spa. Ubud is also an ideal base for day trips around Bali. You will find plenty to do but don't forget to chill out with a drink by the pool. We loved it there so much we're heading back in June. Have fun.
