There are many good hotels to stay in the Kuta area depending on your flight/accommodation budget. Bali Dynasty is one of the higher priced, but a good hotel, great breakfast. If you go there, don't get a Kids Suite, they are crammed for space. There are larger rooms available or even some suites, depending on your budget.
We are going in March ( 12 of us ) staying at Bali Garden Hotel which is 3 star. Good sized family rooms with a queen size and bunk beds. Food and drink there is much cheaper than the Dynasty and accommodation is much cheaper. It is next door to Discovery Plaza, across the road from the Waterbom Park and a few minutes walk to Kuta Square. It is also backs on to the beach.
