bring my mortar and pestle through in the hand luggage search after consulting with the other officials! and decided that I was unlikely to use it as a weapon on board. Thank goodness .......... it's the 3rd mortar and pestle I have bought in Bali, and the last two I decided at the last minute that it was just too heavy to bring back and gave them away to balinese friends at the last minute.
