I agree with Ellen. Kubu Lalang is worth the effort. I recommend the lamb curry. We normally flag a passing bemo. Locals would pay Rp 1000 for that distance, so you can expect to pay twice that per adult head. Lunch time would be fine for a 3 year old. For ambience, try the Sea Breeze. Many a breakfast we have had there. Its on the beach, so the child can play in the sand, while you watch the dolphin/snorkling boats returning or the fisherman ply their trade. (Well ours did) Treat yourself to a pembuntu (nanny) I am sure Richard will know some young lady who will be more than qualified. The Balineese adore kids, especially if they have got fair hair.
