Over xmas i flew from Jakarta to Singapore then to Brisbane (at least 4 times a year for me with Singapore airlines) when we got out of the plane in Singapore, we were searched and our hand luggage was put thru the x-ray machine again this was the first time its ever happened, usually u just walk to the next departure gate and get security checked at the gates entrance. Never before have we been checked when just exiting the plane) they were only doing this for flights arriving from Jakarta.
They had set up a special area for this purpose in Changi airport, right outside the gate. It was strange.. cuz they never usually do that...
