As to Jetstar yep they aren't perfect but then neither is Garuda. I have had flights delayed by 3 hours and also flights re-routed only days prior to departure.
I know you paid a substantial amount to fly with Jetstar recently but if memory serves me correctly you booked not that long before your trip.
When I pay $1 for a ticket, I dont care if I have to crawl over slivers of glass and drink from the toilet bowl. It is a bargain in anyone's language. [BTW - wouldnt really drink from the toilet bowl]
