arriving : DO NOT arrange and rely on transport through agent. You may have to wait for others to use same bus. Perhaps prearrange a private driver to get you out quickly.
There's not much you can do to speed up customs and immigration, however I have seen families with babies being allowed to go straight through, no queuing.
You could try getting the kid to sleep on the plane otherwise just encourage him to enjoy such a new experience, do not let him see you are stressed or hassled :)
