Canada is the same as the U.S.A. Single phase electricity is (household appliances) 120volt To run 120 volt appliances on 240 volt as it is in Bali you will need a step down transformer 240/120. One of the Electronic goods chain store will have them.
I would be very surprised if any hotel supplys them.
What they might supply is a universal plug top adaptor that allows you to fit square pegs into round holes.
Having said that, depending on what you are bringing, you may only need the universal plug top adaptor. Most new mobile phone chargers and lap top computors/video cameras power packs will have a lable telling you the operating voltages. If you are lucky it will say something like
100-220vac or 100-240vac. These things normally have a built in tolerance of +/-10% If yours is labled as such ; your laughing.
Some hair dryers and men shavers can have a small switch somewhere that will allow you to switch up to 240v.
