I too am going to Bali in March. We opt to stay with Garuda and fly out of Coolangatta to Sydney via a $49 flight with Virgin, then depart Sydney at 1230 arriving in Denpsar at 3.45 pm local time, this is a bit better than going via Singapore (12 hours) against 7 hours (including OOL-SYD flight.)
