If surf is a big factor then I'd suggest looking at somewhere on the Bukit Peninsula at that time of year. You'd be able to get to places like Uluwatu, Impossibles, Bingin, Dreamland and Belangan easier that way.
You could also stay at Tuban, Kuta or Legian and get to Airport Lefts and Rights, Kuta reef, Middles, Padma St or Canggu further north.
