you can buy a zippered sports style bag there quite cheap, size vary from small to very large - the bonus is they don't weigh very much. That is all I travel with these days, suitcases weigh far too much. So basically what I suggest is travel to bali with the backpack, then if you need extra room then buy a cheap sports bag. And don't worry about being there on your own, have done it myself and you will have a great time.
