Not so unusual, my now wife had 3 three month visa"s approved before finally getting our fiancee visa. I also have 2 friends who currently have their girlfriends here on 3 month visa's 1 from Bali, and 1 from Malang in Java. Its not easy, but can be done. If you are sponsering a friend, its 1 month, if a holiday romance, again 1 month, but if you have documented evidence that the relationship has been going on for a while and can prove through your bank statements that you have the means to support him or her, no problems, Cheers, Terry.
